Exclusive interview with Analise

by chris

Analise is an up and coming singer and actress from the left coast. 2018 has been a big year for her so far with a role in the Disney movie “ A Wrinkle in time”.

She talks exclusively to The Looking List about her start in entertainment, her career so far and plans for the future.

Where are you from?

I was born in Baldwin Park, California

Tell us about your childhood and teen years.

I had a really great childhood growing up and performing at different venues and charity benefits.  My biggest supporters have been my parents, my older sister and brother.  We are a very close family and do everything together.  I don’t have too much experience as a teen because I’m only 14, but so far it’s been very good and successful.

How did you get your first break in the music industry?

My first break was when I auditioned for the Princess Project and got to be 1/5 girls.  Jeff (Gordon) and Mandy (Rain) have been working with me and are taking me to the direction of the music industry.

You aced the audition and joined the band. What was it like to join them and what have you learned by being in the project?

Joining the band has been an amazing experience because I got to be with other girls my age who are also very talented.  Not only were rehearsals very fun, but we got to go to fun places like Disneyland!

Professionally, who is your biggest influence and why?

My biggest influence has always been Mariah Carey because no matter how much people criticized her, she still perseveres.  Also, to me she has the best voice on the planet.

If you could not be in entertainment, what would you do with your life?

I keep asking myself this question and I can’t think of anything else and I keep coming right back to entertainment.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents inspire me the most because they are my biggest supporters in all I do.  One advice they’ve been telling me since I was 7 is to perform like a professional and people will see me like a professional.

You recently worked in the studio with Mega-Producer/Hitmaker PJ Bianco (Jonas Bros, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, ARIZONA, and many others). What was it like to work with him and what did you learn from this experience?

It was the first time I worked with such a Mega-Producer.  PJ was so cool and fun to work with.  It was such an amazing and exciting experience for me and the whole time I was in the studio recording I kept telling myself to calm down and do the best that I can.  I was excited in the inside and calm in the outside.  I guess this is what you call adrenaline.

You also worked with Hit Songwriter AIMEE, who has written for Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, and others, so tell us what it was like to work with her and was she a positive influence on you?

Working with Aimee was also such a great experience.  She is so talented and sweet and the words to the song just came out of her mouth so simple.  I would love to work with her again.  She’s also very pretty!

You had an acting role in the Disney Movie “A Wrinkle In Time”, starring Oprah Winfrey. What was your role? Tell us all about that experience and what it was like to work with so many incredible actors; did you enjoy yourself on the set?

For me getting to be in this movie was one of the best experiences ever. I got to work with very talented stars, two of them being Storm Reid and Rowan Blanchard.  Rowan was great on giving me great tips on acting for the part. Also, Ava Duvernay was a super nice director on set and made everyone feel so comfortable and made it extra fun! I got to play the role of Veronica’s Friend which was one of the bullies to Meg the main character. Playing a bully was something I never imagined I could do, but I kept telling myself it’s all just acting.

What is the best and worst career advice you’ve been given so far?

The best is that I’m very young and I need to keep on going as a singer and never stop because my voice is going to get even better.  The worst is when someone told me it’s too hard to make it in this industry and you’ll just end up getting tired.  I sing 24/7 anyway so let’s show it to the world!  Even when I’m brushing my teeth I’m singing, LOL!

What advice would you give a young up and coming recording artist?

Never stop doing what you love you will get somewhere and keep practicing. Just keep on trying even though it’s a big scary world out there.

Tell us about your current project?  Who are you working with?

I’ve just recorded my first debut single which is about to come out soon and getting ready to enter the studio with Mandy Rain and record another debut single.

“ Don’t worry about messing up.  People are going to love you anyway…”

If five years ago, you knew then what you know now. What advice would you give yourself?

Don’t worry about messing up.  People are going to love you anyway.

Who would you like to work with in future?

There are so many I would want to work with but my top ones are Mariah Carey, Demi Lovato, and Shakira.

Is there anything that we didn’t ask you that you want to talk about?

No, I think we covered it all.
